Admission Overview

Sahal University welcomes students from all over Somalia and beyond to join our diverse academic community. We offer various undergraduate and diploma programs through our campuses and E-Campus. Our admissions process is designed to ensure that all qualified students can gain access to our programs, whether they prefer regular in-person classes or the flexibility of online learning.

Intakes

Regular Programs

Our regular programs are offered with two major intake periods:

  • September to October
  • January to February

Online Programs

Our online programs have three intake periods to allow greater flexibility for students:

  • September to October
  • January to February
  • April to May

Admission Procedure

The admission procedure at Sahal University is simple and straightforward. To apply for our programs, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Visit our online application portal and create an account.
  • Step 2: Fill in the application form and select your preferred campus location: Bosaso, Galkacyo, Lasanod, or E-Campus for online students.
  • Step 3: Upload your educational documents (e.g., high school diploma, university transcripts, etc.) and any other required documents.
  • Step 4: Pay the non-refundable application fee (if applicable).
  • Step 5: Submit your application form.
  • Step 6: After submitting your application, contact the Admissions office of the respective campus directly for further assistance and instructions for enrollment.
  • Step 7: You will receive your admission status. Successful applicants will receive an admission letter with instructions for enrollment.

Minimum Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission to Sahal University, applicants must meet the following minimum entry requirements:

  • For undergraduate degree programs, a high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
  • For online degree programs, applicants must have access to a reliable internet connection and a personal computer or mobile device.
  • For diploma programs, applicants should have completed at least 10 years of formal education (i.e., secondary school).
  • Applicants for certain programs may be required to submit additional documentation or undergo an interview process as part of the admission procedure.
  • For health-related programs (e.g., Nursing, Midwifery), applicants must meet additional health criteria.
  • All applicants must meet the specific program’s additional requirements, if any (e.g., relevant subject prerequisites).
